There’s lots to do and places to explore from our central location and traveling in any direction is easy from the Seascape. We’re located on coastal US Rte 1 and are just minutes from Belfast’s historic downtown and picturesque harbor, area attractions, and Acadia National Park. Always available to answer your questions, we provide maps and information, suggestions for day trips, and helpful travel tips.
Here are just a few ways you can spend your day:

The Friendship Sloop “Amity” sails daily from the public docks in Belfast, Maine. “Amity” is one of the last original Friendship Sloops – handsome, able vessels built for lobster fishing under sail. Belfast

Owls Head Transportation Museum, antique air & auto events, Owls Head, 35 miles south

Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory and Fort Knox Historic Site. Open daily. Fantastic views of the state of Maine from the top of the 42-story (442 feet) high observation tower. The new bridge¹s Observation Tower is the first such innovation of it’s kind in the United States and only the third in the world. The other two bridges with Observation towers are in Thailand and Slovakia. Fort Knox is one of the best preserved fortifications on the New England seacoast. The Fort has many architectural features, as well as a rich history behind its cannon batteries. Events and encampments throughout the summer.


Maine Arts Camp, Located on Unity College’s environmentally based campus, we are a small, inclusive community offering high quality instruction in visual & performing arts, technology, cooking, gardening and individual/lifetime sports. We foster a non-competitive atmosphere where campers choose their activities. Two 2 week sessions, plus a specialty week add on. Ages 8-15. 30 miles north of Belfast.
